Overview
- Genuine United Moulders MK5i auto-inflation cartridge (part UMA 5000, green end cap) — the standard rearming cartridge fitted to most UK commercial 275N lifejackets
Specifications
- Fires automatically when its water-soluble paper element dissolves; the Mk5i element is redesigned to resist high humidity, with a nitrile seal for extra water protection
- Also supports manual back-up firing
- Fits UML Mk5 and Mk5i automatic inflators with a green end cap. The older Mk5 Pro Sensor inflator used a black-cap UMA 5001 cartridge instead, phased out in 2017 — check which your lifejacket has before ordering

- New old stock, dated for service until 2029
Servicing
- No servicing required — this is a replacement part, not something serviced itself. Replace it by its own printed date instead.
Dated for use until 2029 (printed on the unit) — check that date yourself before fitting it, and replace it by then regardless of whether it's ever been fired.
